FAQ

Meet: questions executives ask

How much does conference room rental cost?
In major hubs, expect roughly $50–$150 per hour for a 6–10 person meeting room in a coworking or serviced-office venue, and $400–$1,500 per day for a hotel boardroom with AV and catering. Prices rise sharply for named-brand hotels in London, New York, Singapore, and Dubai, and fall 30–50% for half-day or off-peak bookings.
What is the difference between meeting room rental and conference room rental?
In practice the terms overlap. Meeting room rental usually means a smaller space for 4–12 people booked by the hour; conference room rental implies a larger boardroom or training room booked by the half or full day with AV, catering, and a host. Search both terms when comparing vendors.
Where should I book an executive boardroom in a hub city?
Three reliable channels: the business centre of a five-star hotel near the financial district, a premium coworking operator's private boardroom, or a dedicated meeting-venue marketplace. Hotels win on catering and discretion; coworking wins on price and AV reliability. Our Executive Meeting Spaces in Global Hubs guide breaks this down city by city.
What should be in a meeting-space RFP?
Room capacity and layout, AV and hybrid-conferencing spec, guaranteed bandwidth, catering minimums, cancellation and attrition terms, accessibility, and whether the rate is inclusive of service charge and tax. Ambiguity on attrition clauses is where most MICE budgets break.
Does this desk cover MICE industry news?
Yes. The Meet wire aggregates meetings, incentives, conferences, and events reporting alongside venue and workspace news, refreshed throughout the day.
